Soar Research Foundation (SRF) is a for-profit, mission-oriented Contract Research Organization (CRO) headquartered in Mbarara City, Uganda that provides private research and related services. Established in 2010 and incorporated in 2019, SRF was created to strengthen Africa’s research landscape, especially in areas related to human health. Our work is driven by the belief that health is a fundamental human right and a key pillar for sustainable development.

Our Purpose
SRF exists to close critical gaps in Africa’s research ecosystem. We support research continuity, nurture emerging talent, and provide the infrastructure researchers need to thrive, especially in low resource settings. By bridging the divide between academic training and real world research practice, we help ensure that promising researchers remain engaged, skilled, and supported throughout their careers.

To carry out the business of setting up and managing one stop centers for promoting research excellence in Africa through establishing infrastructure and services for implementing high quality and ethical research, training researchers and innovators, offering research consultancy services, and developing and selling research related literature.

Clinical Trials Coordination Centre

The center collaborates with universities, hospitals, and strategic partners, leveraging its experienced team for high-impact and quality clinical research. SRF-CTCC provides services in research initiation, protocol development, grant administration, clinical trial coordination, document development, regulatory compliance, data management, pharmacy services, clinical monitoring, laboratory coordination, safety reporting, recruitment coordination, patient retention, community engagement, and scientific writing.

SRF Grants Management

The SRF and Training Centres (SRF-RTCs) has Grants Management Guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that provide a formal framework for the solicitation, awarding, management, monitoring, reporting, and closeout of research grants handled at SRF Research and Training Centres. SRF-RTCs hold primary responsibility for grant administration, financial stewardship, compliance, and reporting to external donors, while maintaining alignment with SRF institutional standards and guidelines. These guidelines ensure: Efficient utilization of grant resources; Compliance with donor, institutional, national, and international regulations; Accountability, transparency, and equitable financial practices; Strengthening of research governance and capacity within RTCs.
