Ms. Arihiihi Specious is a Clinical Trial Nurse at SRF-RTC with 10 years of professional experience in midwifery, clinical care, and research. She holds a Diploma in Midwifery (Bishop Stuart University) and a Certificate in Midwifery (Ibanda School of Midwifery & Comprehensive Nursing). She has worked with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)/Epicentre Research on the RIFASHORT clinical trial evaluating shortened treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis and has served in multiple hospitals including Mbarara Doctor’s Plaza Hospital, Gulu Independent Hospital, and Kampala Independent Hospital as a midwife and theatre nurse. Currently, she also serves as a midwife at Kasana HCIII, Isingiro District. Her training spans Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Research Ethics, Informed Consent Skills, HIV/AIDS Counselling, Good Documentation Practices, and Responsible Conduct of Research, equipping her with strong expertise in both clinical care and research standards.
